I want to call my fathers laptop from my own without using like Skype or Windows Live Messenger. Is there a free program that can do that?

I have a decent DSL stream of 1.5 mbps and a pretty decent upload…..we have had Vonage for some time now and the service sucks…..the quality of the sound is bad, the line is staticy, very scratchy, cuts in and out….I tried to call and cancel but they put me on hold for 45 minutes only to tell me their account managers are gone for the weekend. Is there anything I can do? My DSL is pretty much at max speed? Are there better VoIP services out there?

How can i unblock my free call in Oman, or is there any cheap voip to use in oman to call india otherwise?

I have a G3 iBook and I want to make voice calls, but I cannot. I can not find any programs that will allow me to do this, and when I think I have, I can’t make it work.
If somebody knows one that will work, could you please tell me what it is and how to set it up?
