If you restore and reset your iPhone, can the phone still be tracked using GPS or location devices?
I have already taken out the SIM card, my ex-boyfriend gave me the phone and now I just want to use it as an i-Pod touch. I just don’t want him to know where I am at all times and he said he downloaded or is registered to something that allows him to track the phone whenever he wants because of the GPS or some special number. It really freaks me out and any information on this would be so helpful! Thank you!
What’s better, a separate GPS unit or the systems built into a cellphone?
Is it easier to have the GPS unit on your windshield or looking at your phone? Do phones feature spoken directions? Considering upgrading to the Sprint Instinct with GPS.

What sort of service do I need after I buy a GPS?
Thinking of getting a GPS. I am confused. What additional service will I need to purchase in order for the GPS to work? Monthly fee? Internet? How does it give me the info?
If a GPS becomes discountinued from the manufacturer do they still make the updated maps for it?
I have noticed a lot of Garmin GPS’s on Ebay for sale at really good prices however they are discontinued models.Do you think Garmin will still make any updated maps for them in the future or is it a waste of money to buy a discontinued model.
For navigation, what is the difference between a GPS device and a cell phone?
Does a cell phone navigate off the cell network and the gps device uses satellites…and therefore can be used where there is no cell phone connection?
