you do all that by going online from the VoIP website....that the way I do that....so if she knows the ID and password, she can do it! Most of the time you just sign-on and able or enable the features....you just check the boxes from a menu....there is only one other way to do it....call the provider, identify yourself, and they will change it for you!!!

Garmin is a best gps system, Garmin has a simple controls - simply touch the color screen to enter a destination, has a turn-by-turn voice directions, 2-D or 3-D maps and more feature.

I suggestion a Garmin nuvi in an advance model is a 255W, 265WT, 760 for the higher model is a 765T, 775T.

255W: same as 205W but has text-to-speech (you get turn by turn spoken directions with the real names of streets (e.g. "turn left in 50 feet at Nebraska Way", rather than merely "turn left in 50 feet")), 4.3-Inch diagonal touch screen color display, where am I function, etc.

265WT : has text-to-speech, 4.3-inch diagonal color touchscreen, bluetooth, preloaded Maps with Navteq data of North America + Hawaii + Puerto Rico, free real-time traffic updates from Navteq (for the life of the device), etc.

760 : has text-to-speech, 4.3-Inch diagonal touch screen color display, bluetooth, speed limit Indicator, where am I- where's my car function, multi-destination routing, etc.

765T : has text-to-speech, 4.3-Inch diagonal touch screen color display, bluetooth, lane assist, free real-time traffic updates from Navteq (for the life of the device), multi-destination routing, where am I function, etc.

Weight: If you're hiking or backpacking, every ounce counts. Conversely, durability is also important.
# 12 Channel Parallel Receiver: For hikers and off-road travelers, these receivers will give the best service.
# Map Screen: Certain devices only display relative longitude and latitude lines. Be sure your model is map-ready.
# Waterproof : You don't want your GPS to short out when it rains or if you fall in a stream.
# Long Battery Life: Carrying multiple batteries around can certainly be a pain.
# Waypoints: Most sites recommend a GPS unit with storage for at least 500 waypoints.
# Compass : Helps you get to the next waypoint.
# Screen Characteristics

    * Color vs. B&W : Some color screens are hard to read in sunlight. The exception is TransReflective Color screens.
    * Size may also be a factor. Consider how small a screen you can read comfortably.

# Route Capacity: Most devices can hold at least 20 routes, while some may hold as many as 50. The more, the better.
# Topographic Maps: If you plan to do a lot of backcountry hiking, elevation and small stream data will definitely come in handy.
# GPS Information: Click here for more information about choosing a GPS for hiking.

Most phones comes with a manufacturing id. It would be printed at the back of your battery and also on the box in which the phone originally came. The cops can track this number even if the sim card is changed. They can pinpoint from which area the call was made and even disable the phone. At least that's what the cops told me when I reported the theft of my phone a couple of years ago. I didn't press charges as the phone was an inexpensive model and I didn't want to land some poor bloke in trouble over it.

Emergency calls can now be tracked to the exact location as all cell phones have to come equipped with gps to help the 911 to come to the immediate rescue of people in trouble.

So, maybe that feature can be used to locate your phone but I am not sure if in case of theft this will be used. Ask the cops, they know best. Hope this helps.

Sorry man, there is no way to trace your phone.

Regular consumer GPS devices are receive only, which means they are only capable of receiving a signal like a radio and do not have the ability to produce signals of their own. Without the GPS having the ability to send out its' own signal there is nothing for you to receive or track it with.

The article in my source explains it a lot better.

Build in GPS doesn't mean that you can trace it. What really means something is where you made your last call or so. Try going to the police and ask them for help.

Maybe something in the line of international conference facilitator mate? Have no other idea I can come up with now, but I will think in the line of trade with other countries where telecommunication is expensive - placing orders to China for factories, shipment confirmations...

Best of luck!

Many GPS devices are free of charge to use. There are some GPS devices that charge monthly/recurring fees to use, but those are different b/c those GPS devices not only receive signals, but also send them as well

^^ I believe that's what they use for GPS devices that offer real time info while you drive (e.g. there's a riot going on in NW DC, so it provides you an alternate route along the beltway which may take much longer, but is nothing compared to the standstill traffic of your original route.... or bad weather is causing traffic jam on a highway). Otherwise, also sending signals may be something used moreso by law enforcement and the military. GPS for civilian use used to be quite inferior than what the satelittes the military was on, but that was changed so that civilian population now has greater accuracy and use than before.

If you want optional map updates, there's a one time fee for everytime u opt for those

Beware, some GPS functionality may require service fees, like Verizon phones with GPS feature. It SHOULD be free, but they charge $1.99 per use or $80/mo as part of it's unlimited plan

The satellites of GPS are maintained by the US government. The basic usage of them is absolutely free.
