Preferrably one that I can make free landline calls with. It also does not matter to me if I have to jailbreak my iPod to get this app.

I am trying to choose a better business calling plan because ATT is to expensive. Is Vonage ok? I would need a plan with two lines and a fax line. I dont make a lot of long distance calls. I would need to have it advertised.

My fiancee calls her family in Brazil from the states, and right now she needs to buy a $5 phone card all the time (sometimes 10 times a month) so she can keep tricking her cell phone into thinking it’s calling a toll-free 1-800 number. That sounds pricey, but if she simply dialed Brazil on her cell, it would be WAY worse for how often and how long she talks.

I have heard about internet phones that make calls to regular land line numbers for low monthly rates. When I check into companies like Skype, I see the phrase “to the U.S. and Canada” all over the place.

What is the best company and plan to go with for the cheapest possible (hopefully unlimited, one low monthly fee) calls to Brazil?
I’m aware of that, first answerer. We’re not going to trade in our cell phones or anything.

1) Head set with attached mic (probably bought from Wal-Mart)

2) Bluetooth adapter and getting a bluetooth headset

3) Getting a desk mic and using my computer speakers

because my internet is limited to only 1 giga byte/month that’s why i need a voip with a minimum bandwith usage. can someone recommend me a good voip software?

Which VOIP do you prefer based on factors like:

1) Sound quality
2) Price
3) No Contract

I have a Comcast High speed cable.
