What has been your experience and what phone would you recommend? I run a rated 12 mbps over the internet.
Philips voip 841 dual line phone landline connection problem?
My 841 phone will not connect to the landline, either dialing manually or through the contacts folder. The phone rings when receiving a landline call, but after answering the phone nothing happens. Another phone on the same line keeps ringing, but the 841 shows up as answering the call. The battery is fully charged and the handset is connected to the base unit. The Philips manual doesn’t have any info on this problem. Is there anyone out there using this phone and has seen this problem?
Yes, it’s the same type of phone, but a later model.
Is VOIP better than Landline phone service?
Just wanted to do a little comparison, I had both of them and I think Landline sounds clearer, and it works when the power goes out. Then there’s VOIP which saves you a lot of money and gives you all the calling features, but the sound quality isn’t as clear as landline. Also VOIP will not work when the power goes out. Overall, which is considered to be more reliable?
Do I still have to pay anything to my landline phone company if I switch to VOIP service with another company?
Like line maintenance fees, taxes, a discontinuation of service fee, etc? I can’t seem to get any straight answers for either company.
How does Residential VOIP lineSunrocket get to a Landline phone and where does the call set out from?
I am on the Level 3 Communications CLEC network so where would the call terminate from?
