How many VoIP lines are required?
If I want to connect a main office to 2 remote sites, and I want the following number of users to be able to use the VoIP service:
Main office: 6 users
Remote site1: 4 users
Remote site2: 1 user
How many VoIP lines would I need?
P.S. the users will communicate with each other as if they were in one location. And the internet would be via Satellite.
How Does Voip work? (I mean from internet to phone lines)?
I know how Voip transfers and handles calls from computer to computer, but how is it able to transfer calls from a computer, to the internet, to phone lines, to a phone?

I am starting a small business with three employees. I would like to know whether it would be best to have a VOIP system or actually put in phone lines with a phone system. I will be working in the office and at my home at times while the others will be in the office mostly.

thanks for the additional help, however what is my best option to get more VOIP lines working at once? Running two dsl lines into the business? I am trying to keep the cost down however we could always just get normal phone service from verizon. A further help would be great thanks
Are prepaid mobile phone numbers portable to other mobile plans and/or traditional phone lines or VOIP?
Are prepaid mobile phone numbers portable to other mobile plans and/or traditional phone lines or VOIP?
Basically, can I signup for a prepaid plan from ATT/Cingular, T-mobile, Verizon/Alltel to use the phone number until I get an office line setup, and then transfer that number to a permanent land line?
