The tom tom website has custom maps for many places, but does not have for japan. Is there anywhere else I can get these maps (besides google, because they list the destination names only in Japanese writing) to download for my GPS. Thanks very much!

i turned the gps to location instead of 911 only but still it wont work once in the maps application. do i need to buy VZ navigator?

I would like google maps to pin point my location by using my phones gps. I’ve heard it can be done but I don’t know how. Thanks.
I already have google maps I just need to make it work with my phones gps.

Specifically, do these maps generally tend to have fairly extensive retail/restaurant/business listings? I have used the Hertz NeverLost system and was pretty pleased with it as it had a pretty large database of business listings and was pretty current. I want to know if the typical GPS manufacturers can compare with this in regards to their POI maps.
