The Multiple Functionalities of Modern Telephones
One problem with telephones is that you cannot keep it on vibration mode so that you or anyone else may not be bothered by the sound of incoming calls. It is not something that you can carry always with you. So, the idea of having the vibration mode is simply ridiculous. Then how do you understand when someone makes a call to your telephone; certainly by listening to the ringing sound! Yes, it is the ringtone of your phone that alerts you of any incoming call.
Then does this not necessitate that ringtone of your telephone should be in sync with your taste and temperament! Of course, it should be friendly to your ears. This is the tone that you need to hear several times in a day. So, if it is a cacophonic one then you will be irritated by the harshness of its sound every time a call is made to you. On the contrary, if it is melodious one then it may sooth your senses.
Here lies the difference between modern and traditional phones. Traditional telephones are simple devices; able to make only monotonous beep, beep sounds. But the modern ones are enriched with sophisticated functionalities. They have more than one ringtones stored in them. So, you can set the one that you find melodious and friendly to your ears. This is one of the many handy features included in modern telephones.
So many other features are there in the telephones manufactured nowadays. These features are highly handy and capable of making a lot of tasks easy and quick. Their data storing capability enables anybody to do away with manual telephone directories. Caller ID helps to identify the person who has made the call. Call waiting will enable you to put the current call on hold and receive another one. Then there is call divert to help you divert the calls to some other numbers. These and many other features have certainly multiplied the usefulness of telephones.

What is the best GPS System that allows multiple stops & route optimization?
I am looking to purchase a good GPS unit for my car. I would like a unit that will have audio directions, can allow to input multiple stops & can optimize a route with those stops.
Currenlty, Microsoft Streets & Trips works works well although using a laptop in the car is not exactly safe.
I have read a few reviews for some GPS systems, but many reviews conflict each other. Any suggestions?
Does a cordless home telephone exists that incorporates multiple cell phones via bluetooth?
I do not think it exists yet (though Panasonic has come close), but perhaps I am wrong. I was looking to see if a cordless home telephone yet existed that allowed not only a landline connection for regular telephone use, but also bluetooth connections simultaneously to multiple cellular telephones.
From a practical standpoint, this would allow a home telephone, and also allow family members to leave their cell phones (likely near the base I would assume) and also allow their cellular telephones to ring on the house telephone.
Also–I do imagine this exists with business systems, that are likely very expensive. My question is really whether residential versions have been developed yet.
