Who can suggest a good hosted voip provider in metro NYC?

My company is looking for a good hosted voip provider. We presently have 17 pots lines with Verizon. We have recieved some pricing from Lightpath. We also have a couple of remote locations (total of about 5 lines). Right now, between taxes, fees, line charges, and usage, we are running about $65 per line. Looking for something @ a better price and a little more current functionality (follow me, etc)

One post said through a VoIP provider they had a simultaneous ring feature – which provider would that be?

I need two phone numbers at two different locations to ring at the same time. I’m having a difficult time finding a provider who offers this feature. Help!

How do I configure an unlocked vonage PAP2 phone adapter to work with Acanac VOIP provider?

I have Acanac voip service and I was told I could purchase my own phone adapter. I saw a Linksys PAP2 adapter at a very good price that is unlocked and is suppose to work with Acanac. I can’t configure it to work. Acanac recommends Sipura ATA-2100 or 2102. They only give support on an ATA adapter.
I have tried logging on to the IP address of the adapter but none of the usual IP addresses associated withe Linksys products that I know will work.
Somebody please help.

Thanks.

What is the advantage of using a VoIP service provider like Vonage compared to calling with a PC?

There seem to be so many “free” softwares that can be downloaded from the internet to make phone calls. E.g., Skype

does any one know of any voip service provider that provide cheap flat rates to africa and the middle east?

I live in Malaysia by the way and i’d to start a call centre business particularly targeting african and middle eastern clients.

Can I make two phone calls at the same time on VoIP provider such as vonage?

I was wondering whether I can connect to VoIP phones and make more than 1 call over Voip
I mean like putting in two phones into the router and the ability to make two phone calls at the same time. Will the line be restricted to one phone call at a time?
