There are a number of low-cost software programs available that let you call a regular landline phone; Skype, Vonage, Magic Jack . . . and the list goes on.
From those of you who have tried any of this, what can you list as the pros and cons of the program you used?
Where can I find VOIP software for LAN?
Basically I want something to use during LAN parties, so it is important that it doesn’t need internet access. Also, it should support “conference call” type communication, not just two-way conversations. Furthermore, I don’t have an extra computer to spare, so it shouldn’t require a dedicated server.
