…that is free? i would go back to land line if it wasn’t AT&T. I just don’t like them they have awful customer service.

I have vonage and it sucks! It is always breaking up and dropping calls and I want to know a GOOD alternative.

Just wanted to do a little comparison, I had both of them and I think Landline sounds clearer, and it works when the power goes out. Then there’s VOIP which saves you a lot of money and gives you all the calling features, but the sound quality isn’t as clear as landline. Also VOIP will not work when the power goes out. Overall, which is considered to be more reliable?

I have a server running all the time, so having a computer on all the time is not a problem. But is there anything cheaper than MagicJack where I can send/receive calls from people’s cell phones? This would require any phone number. Thanks!

We currently have Brink’s security system and pay Comcast for a VOIP line for the security system to use. We don’t use that line for anything else and I feel that it is a waste of money. Is there any types of home security system that works through broadband or wi-fi? Thanks.

Are there certain features or ratings I should look for? Or are they all interchangeable?
