What brands and general features should I look for when purchasing a GPS?
I’m hoping to purchase a GPS device within the next few months and want to know what to look for in the $300 range. I’ll probably purchase it online since retail stores charge more.
One of the Garmon GPS units is what I would recommended. Something that lets you store maps of your favorite places to go.
Some of the newer models let you hook it up to your computer and download maps of areas.
We have one, just don’t remember the model and at the moment, I’m at work. If I can find it out, I’ll edit this posting. My husband had bought a different unit at our local outdoor stores that was like E-something brand…it wasn’t a good one. So we decided to spend a few more $$ and get the Garmon. We love it!
